Well, this is another Disappointment!
Is it to much to ask for that there might be some leadership in this party that is interested in interacting with us? I came to this site with anticipation that this site would be different. Got through signing up and what do I see at the top of the screen, Welcome - help make a difference at your Contributions page. - OH, they want my money, not conversation:^)
I got a call from this group and RNC last week for a contribution. My answer was a simple, NOPE! I explained that until the party starts to support conservatives that my preference is to donate directly to the candidate of my choice. One that is Conservative, not another Arlen Spector.... no more money from me until they start doing their job and support conservative candidates.
I blame the party for supporting Scozzafava with almost a million dollars, who then leaves the race 3 days before the election, 45 minutes later she endorses the Democrat. We should not have had a problem electing a Conservative Republican to that seat! ONE more vote to help pass the health care reform. Good Job!

I could not agree more. We have a two front battle on our hands. First is a fight against this administration and the Democrats who are completely out of control and pandering to the ultra left of their party.
Our second front is our own party who continues to lose elections by holding tight to a belief that moderate
Republicans win elections. WRONG! Conservatives win elections. National polls show over 40% of American's self identify as Conservatives, only 17% self identify as liberals. When will the GOP realize we are a center right country?
I refuse to give money to the National GOP, instead I give to candidates that not only uphold Republican principles but who are also Conservatives. When the GOP goes after DeDe Scozzafava for the 900k they wasted on her, when the GOP goes after Arlen Spector for the monies they wasted on him and when the GOP stops propping up Dem-Lite candidates, I will open my checkbook to them. However, after listening to Michael Steele to this day defend supporting liberal candidates and touting the moderate line, the GOP has a long way to go before they see a penny from me.
Amazingly 2 million people coming to DC on September 12 taught the GOP nothing. Town Hall meetings filled with conservatives telling their elected officials our Gov is out of control taught the GOP nothing. That Doug Hoffman had an election stolen from him while the GOP was wining and dining Dede Scozzafava taught me all I needed to know. At least the American people can learn a lesson. What is the GOP waiting for, bankruptcy?
